Added 2024-04-29 18:00:14 +0000 UTCOk men, I need your viewpoint on something. I met a guy at a bar back at the end of January and we hit it off and at one point he told me he wanted to take me on a date. I went home with him at the end of the night.
Later in the week I had texted him asking if he wanted to hang out again and he told me that he travels too much to give me the commitment I deserve (a friend verified that that is true) and he wouldn’t have free time until the summer.
I told him that if he had time and wanted to hang out again to feel free to reach out. I haven’t heard from him since. I have been holding out hope that he will reach out again because I really like him but it’s been torturing me waiting.
My friends say that I should just reach out again and ask him if he’d be interested in getting together again in the summer when he has more time. That way I will have an answer now instead of waiting. But I’m scared it’s going to come across as desperate or something and make me look bad. What do you think? Should I reach out or should I wait?
