in person, it's really only apparent in those horrible fluorescent white lights, but on camera if i don't get the lighting just right, my skin looks muddled, and from an outside POV, it's hard to pinpoint why.
it's pretty much the reason why i never took photos of myself before i started OF. my veteran followers know that i only changed my profile picture once every 5 years and never posted pictures π
